A thief remains at large after escaping with thousands of dollars from a San Bernardino County church. The theft happened on Feb. 4 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Rialto at around 3:30 p.m., according to Rialto police. A priest, who was carrying a bag containing thousands of dollars in cash, had walked to his car and placed the bag inside, presumably to be deposited at the bank.  That's when a suspect somehow grabbed the bag from inside the car and fled the scene. A Rialto man was arrested Wednesday for killing another man in a hit-and-run before a Rialto Police officer also ran over the victim's body. Bryan Perez, 23, was arrested after police allegedly connected his 2003 Ford Explorer to Sunday's fatal hit-and-run, the RPD said in a press release. A Rancho Cucamonga man is behind bars after he allegedly broke into a vehicle, stole a wallet and used a credit card from that wallet last month, which authorities say is only one of several burglaries committed by him. Two women were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly torturing a young boy in Rialto for years from the time he was six months old. A suspected burglar who broke into a home in Rialto and allegedly threatened a female resident Sunday night has been arrested, authorities said Wednesday. Eight people were injured when a 74-year-old woman accidentally drove her pickup into a Stater Brothers supermarket in Rialto Monday.
