DULUTH, Minn. — Fleas and ticks don’t completely die off in the winter, especially with this year’s milder weather. The Duluth Veterinary Hospital has seen more diseases than usual and earlier than normal. The main disease being Lyme Disease. Tick-borne illnesses can be bothersome for dogs causing tiredness, fevers, limping, and soreness. For fleas the main symptom is itchiness. EO Johnson Business Technologies will be relocating from their spot on Superior Street to a new place at 330 Garfield Avenue which is in a former ISD 709 building. Over 200 LSC Students Show Off Work At Spring Art Show

DULUTH, Minn. — Over 200 students’ artwork is on display at Lake Superior College. The Spring Art Show includes students enrolled in any of LSC’s art classes. Pieces included paintings, ceramics, metal art and jewelry. One student took a drawing class and created a self-portrait. He says the art means a lot to many different students. “I just see a lot of people really happy about the art they made. Update on Twin Ports Interchange Project

DULUTH, Minn – The Twin Ports Interchange Project won’t be completed until the end of 2025 instead of the end of this year. MnDOT says the discovery of a jawbone in the construction zone last February is the main reason for the delay. In 2019, prior to construction starting the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council reviewed the site for potential impact on Indian burial grounds. That review uncovered some spots where indigenous remains might be located. In February of 2023, when the jawbone was discovered MnDOT immediately stopped work in the area. DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD baseball team was unable to snap their five-game losing streak on Tuesday, dropping two games to Concordia-St. Paul. In game one, the Golden Bears would rally in the 6th and 7th to pull away with the 12-7 victory. Following that contest, Concordia had a fast start in game two, putting up five in the first three innings to eventually take the 11 to 7 win. DULUTH, Minn.- UMD softball would have four players earn All-Conference honors on Tuesday. Senior pitcher Lauren Dixon, senior outfielder Kat Burkhardt, and junior first baseman Nicole Schmitt would land on the NSIC First Team. And on the 2nd team was former Proctor Rail and freshman pitcher Maddy Walsh. This is the 2nd time Schmitt and Dixon have made it on the first team. MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn.- Former Duluth East head coach Mike Randolph will no longer be the head coach at St. Thomas Academy. According to Youth Hockey Hub, Randolph and the Cadets have parted ways. He spent the last three seasons on the coaching staff, two of which he was the head coach. Randolph would lead St. Thomas Academy to the Section 3AA championship, before falling to Cretin-Derham Hall this past season.
