Connally ISD proposes $60 million bond for new elementary school

Waco, TX (FOX 44) -- Saturday is the May election and Connally ISD is one of many school districts hoping to pass a bond to help students. The bond is worth $60 million with plans to construct a new elementary school. It's their third election attempt to have one. Waco, Tx (FOX 44) - Just short of a pound of marijuana, over $2,000 cash and a handgun were all recovered near a Waco daycare facility after police stopped to talk with a man on the street. Police report that they were engaged in what was termed a "consensual encounter" with a man later identified as 19-year-old Andre Lee Mahoney in the 5100 block of Sanger Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The officer noted in the arrest affidavit that he spotted what appeared to be a marijuana blunt behind the Mahoney's left ear.
