ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A fire engulfed a house in the 2800 block of Hickory Street Saturday morning. Around 7:00 a.m. February 4, the Abilene Fire Department was dispatched to the fire and found a residence fully involved in fire. Crews made a quick attack to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A structure fire broke out in south Abilene in the 3300 block of Gays Way. According to witnesses, the fire began around 10:30 p.m. February 4. When fire crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming out of a garage attached to a house and made an active attack. Crews were able to contain the fire to just the garage and save a dog that was inside at the time of fire. The family was in the house at the time, but were able to evacuate. Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland announced in a city bulletin posted Friday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) will be conducting a review of the Memphis Police Department following the death of 29-year-old Tyre Nichols after he was beaten by Memphis police. CISCO, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A camper caught on fire in the backyard of a property in Cisco. Just before 7:00 p.m. on February 4, fire crews were called out to a camper fire in the 600 block of Ramsey Street. The camper showed signs of heavy smoke, but crews were able to contain the fire to just the camper. Authorities confirmed no one was inside at the time of the fire, but Cisco police and fire are searching for two pets they said may have perished. EASTLAND, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A crash in Eastland resulted in the death of a driver unlawfully evading arrest and non-life-threatening injuries to a passenger, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
