WINNING THE MARRIAGE GAME IS A DESIRE WE, AS CHRISTIAN WOMEN, WANT TO ACHIEVE IN OUR LIVES

Being a 73-year-old faith-driven Christian woman who has created a small online ministry, I want all of my sisters-in-Christ to remember that the Lord’s presence is the key essential item in the relationship between a husband and his wife. Unfortunately, some individuals allow their hearts to rule their minds when it comes to falling in love, which causes them to rush into marriage with that person blindly. At the same time, there are individuals whose minds rule their hearts, and they rush into marriage because they believe that it’s the proper thing to do, yet there’s no real love for that o ..read more

While I’ve been married to my dear OH for just over 30 years, we haven’t been blessed with the birth of a child. It was never an issue for either of us. I didn’t get married until I was almost 43, and my better half had just turned 39 three days before. Part of the reason for not having any children had been my age; however, it was more due to my suffering from a genetic condition that we didn’t want to pass on to any children, especially if we had had a daughter. Having children carries a broad spectrum of emotions, from delight to fear, from apprehension to anticipation, and from concerns to ..read more

When you were a young Christian girl, how many of you hadn’t read the book or seen Disney’s Cinderella cartoon? How many can remember the song “Someday My Prince Will Come” from the cartoon Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? I read the story and saw the cartoon [even as an adult woman]. As far as the song is concerned and my suffering from a genetic condition, it is one of my favorites, as I got married two months before my 43rd birthday, and my dear OH celebrated a 39th birthday three days before our wedding day. Some day, my prince will come. Some day, we’ll meet again. And away to his castle ..read more

[This is a reposting from https://www.christianwomenatwork.com/post/creating-time-to-be-creative By Christian Woman 04/04/21] “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 Have you had the opportunity to move tasks from your “work to do” list to your “work done” list over the past two weeks? If so: congratulations! If it is still a work in progress: congratulations! It takes time to change a habit but stay with it. In addition to feeling satisfied with completing more and more tasks, I hope you have noticed a lightening in your spirit and ..read more

COMMUNICATION TIPS #2 – OPENNESS
TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN

As a Christian woman being married for 30+ years to my dear OH, I have learned there is far more than one facet to what is called communication, which comprises most of the secrets of successful marriages, as well as many of the devastating marriage failures. A successful marriage, from my experience, involves the swapping of information in couples without any attempt to hurt one another. I happen to be overweight, and if my OH would dare to say something like, “What you are wearing makes you look fat.” I would hate it and probably might slap his face hard.” On the other hand, if he would say ..read more

With my being a 73-year-old faith-driven Christian woman who now has her own online ministry on Facebook, I still felt a need to include something from the words of the Lord here on this blog, so I will be doing a random Scripture from the NKJV Bible for my followers to reflect on. In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 1 TIMOTHY 2:9-10 Your comments and feedback would be appreciated. Have a BLESSED WED ..read more

When I started the reformatting of this blog, I know I stated that there would no longer be a concentration solely on the words of the Lord; however, since this blog is about us being the best we can be in the eyes of the Lord, we need to start making and using affirmations through which we will be able to affirm who we are as a Chrisitan woman. As a Christian woman: I know the Lord doesn’t keep records, for as soon as He chucks my transgressions out of the window, He forgives me. As a Christian woman, I love turning to Scripture to find what I need to read so I can better reflect on this affi ..read more
