CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department announced due to a fallen tree, one lane of Highway 76 has been shut down temporarily. CPD responded to a 911 call regarding the tree and upon arrival, officers began conducting traffic control, allowing motorists to alternate the use of the one open lane, according to CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien. CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – After postposing an ordinance to add a 4% privilege tax to local hotel-motel charges, the City Council has now announced plans to go forward with the tax but at a lower rate. CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The man shot to death at a Clarksville nightclub Saturday night has been identified as 22-year-old man from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Isaiah Henderson was found shot at Smooves Bar and Grill, 2150 Ft. Campbell Blvd., according to police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien. At approximately 12:28 a.m. that night, police received a 911 call about the shooting, according to previous reports. They found Henderson with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
