Does God kill people? Can a 'good' God do 'bad' things?? A member from our WhatsApp group asked the above question, and I thought it needful to also blog my response on the matter, as I believe someone following might equally be enlightened by it... So let me start on this note: God is good! God is merciful! God is loving! God is kind! and God is patient! In fact, the 9 fruit of the Holy Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23 describe God's real and true nature; And we know this because Jesus Who came to reveal God's true character to us exemplified those virtues... However, God i ..read more

GOD, AND THE UNANSWERED PRAYERS!

Could this be the reason God does not answer some of our prayers today??? Probably one of the greatest pains or frustrations of many Believers in Christianity today is the ordeal of unanswered prayers or delay in receiving answers to prayers; And though we may find reasons to tag it on, my thought is that in the majority of the cases, God allows it intentionally, and it may not necessarily be due to a lack of faith... Because from history we learn that often when God answers a prayer, especially prayers that have to do with physical or material things, the tendency of humans is to forget G ..read more

Are we truly in the End-Times? Are the happenings in our world today signs? What should be the attitude of the Believer in the End-Times? "Later, Jesus sat on the slopes of the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to Him privately and asked, "When will all this take place? And will there be any sign ahead of time to signal Your return and the end of the world?""  Matthew 24:3 (NLT) Both history and science have proven that indeed the world we live in today has existed for Ages, millions or even billions of years in time's perspective, and with the current advancements in technology, human ..read more

Sex! Money! Fame!... Three which can serve both good and evil purposes; and three which can lead to the progress or downfall of men, as we know from history even till this day... God Who created the Earth and man had the best intentions for His creation and many of the things which He intended for good purposes are today being perverted, all thanks to the one who is called "the god of this world" and Satan whose primary purpose and ultimate aim has always been to infiltrate humanity with as much evil as possible, in a bid to continue His rebellion against God which began even before the fall ..read more

Does God really speak to people? Is it really difficult to hear the voice of God? How does He speak? And how can I separate His voice from other voices??? From many Bible accounts and events outlines in the Scriptures, we understand that in fact, God speaks to people, as we find many true-life stories both in the Old and New Testaments where God spoke to people and gave them instructions and directions... Though it may seem that these people who hear God speak to them are His specially selected people such as Prophets or those who God called to work for Him, people we would often refer to as ..read more

Why do we pray in the name of Jesus? Why do most if not all our prayers end with the phrase “in Jesus’ name”? Is it just because Jesus is the Author and Champion of our Christian Faith, or there is more??? I believe we all know Jesus as the Son of God Who came to Earth to die thereby to save humanity from their sins and to restore humanity back to God their Creator, for as many who believe and accept Him as their Saviour and LORD… Also, I believe we do know that one of the profound statements Jesus made as quoted in the below Bible verses, was that His followers should pray in His name and Go ..read more

GOD, HIS SAINTS, AND THEIR ENEMIES!

The subject of spiritual warfare in Christianity is both an interesting and a slightly controversial one; and I believe the controversy isn't around the existence of the enemy or enemies, but the argument is often about who actually is the enemy, and how to deal with enemies... The sheer fact that out of the over 4,000 religions practiced in the world, Christians seem to be amongst the most persecuted tells clearly that there surely exists enemies to contend with as a true Believer; and so even Jesus Christ the Head of the Christain Faith did not miss out speaking about the enemies and even ..read more

It is said, that "an attitude of gratitude is one of the best attitudes one can have", and indeed so it is...  Gratitude and thankfulness is not only an attractive personality trait worthy of admiration, but it is also an appealing posture of the heart which has the potential to attract God's attention... Just as humans naturally love to be appreciated, and their good nature or good deeds recognized, so also God Who created us in His likeness also desires and expects us to maintain a heart of gratitude towards Him, so much so that His anger could be kindled in an atmosphere of continuous ..read more
