ANTIOCH (CBS SF) – The Antioch Police requested the public Tuesday to help identify and locate a suspect in a seemingly-random fatal shooting back in February. The department posted on its Facebook page about the shooting Tuesday. The shooting occurred on Feb. 8, around 7 p.m. According to investigators, an unknown suspect in a silver Dodge Charger shot at a Honda sedan in the intersection of Canada Valley Drive and Pinnacle View Drive. SAN FRANCISCO (BCN/CBS SF) — Officials with the San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office have identified a man killed in a shooting earlier this month in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood as 36-year-old Byron Cheeves, Jr. Cheeves, an Antioch resident, was killed in March 16 shooting that happened around 3:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Leavenworth Street. ANTIOCH (CBS SF/BCN) — Flames leaped between two apartment buildings in an Antioch complex Friday night, forcing frightened residents to flee to safety to escape the heavy smoke and fire. Steve Hill, spokesperson for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, said the two-alarm fire was first reported at 8:23 p.m. in the 2300 block of Sycamore Drive. ANTIOCH (KPIX) – A dramatic rescue unfolded in Antioch after a Good Samaritan heard a man calling from a storm drain who had been stuck there for two days. It was quite a risky operation in an open field. Somehow someway the man made his way down the storm drain and got stuck. Fortunately, his cries for help and an echo coming from an open pipe caught the attention of the an Antioch man. “I was just walking by and I heard him yelling through the pipes,” he said.
