The teen killed by deputies in Victorville Tuesday was a foster youth experiencing a mental health issue, San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus announced in a Wednesday morning press conference. The 17-year-old boy, whose identity has not been released, was a resident of Hesperia, though he had been involuntarily committed using a 5150 hold three days before the deadly encounter after he cut his wrists. A Los Angeles man faces multiple charges after he allegedly threatened an employee at a Victorville 7-Eleven and displayed his gun in the process. Eric Lavell Taylor, 66, entered the store in the 15700 block of Roy Rogers Drive at about 6:30 p.m.. Wednesday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said in a news release. Three deputies responding to a call in San Bernardino County earlier this week helped a mother deliver a baby boy, authorities announced Thursday. A stolen vehicle suspect was arrested after leading deputies on a dangerous pursuit through San Bernardino County. The suspect was identified as Raezahntae Edward Baird, 26, from Norco, according to the Victorville Police Department. A man was arrested after allegedly stealing a U-Haul truck and driving the wrong way on a San Bernardino County freeway. Video captures burglars ransacking a jewelry store and escaping with an estimated $300,000 worth of jewelry in San Bernardino County.
