One Inland Empire family received an unwanted guest in their home on Wednesday. In a video sent to KTLA by Ryan’s Rattlesnake Rescue, a four-foot long rattlesnake can be seen slithering through a home in La Cresta, an unincorporated community near Murrieta. With the help of new high-tech drones, the Murrieta Police Department is now aided with a fresh perspective — an unobstructed view from the sky. The Unmanned Aerial Systems Program, which was launched in July 2023, has already helped police successfully apprehend suspects on the run. A Riverside County woman who ran a foster home for disabled children is again facing a murder charge after it was initially dismissed a year and a half ago. Michelle Louise Morris-Kerin, 82, and her husband, Edward Lawrence Kerin, 81, of Morris Small Family Home were arraigned again on Thursday in Riverside County, and both pleaded not guilty, according to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office. Two men were charged for allegedly stealing over $1 million worth of luxury cars throughout Riverside County. The suspects were identified as Kendall Jamison Clark, 25, of Murrieta, and Gabriel Dean Watters, 47, of San Diego, according to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. A Southern California couple remains shaken up after security video shows two people watching them as they slept and attempting to enter their home. Two women who picked out what they wanted from a nail salon in Murrieta and then allegedly walked out the front door without paying were arrested shortly after one of them returned and asked employees to return a cellphone that was dropped during the theft. The incident occurred last week, the Murrieta Police Department stated Monday in a post on its Facebook page. Six people were killed when a jet crashed near the French Valley Airport in Murrieta early Saturday morning, marking the second deadly crash at the airstrip in less than a week.
