Westbound Interstate 70 in Aurora was closed for four hours Thursday morning after a car crash killed a man near Peña Boulevard, according to police. Officers responded to reports of a car crash involving a Prius and a semitruck around 5 a.m. Thursday, Aurora Police Department spokesperson Sydney Edwards said. The crash temporarily shut down the westbound lanes of I-70 starting at exit 283 for Chambers Road for the investigation, according to a statement from the Aurora Police Department. A 16-year-old boy with a mental disability reported missing in Aurora Monday evening has been found safe, according to an X post by the Aurora Police Department.  The boy was last seen walking northbound on South Granby Street at 9 a.m. Monday morning and was reported missing around 6 p.m. that evening. A 17-year-old girl died on Friday after being shot in Aurora on April 20, according to a Monday news release from the Aurora Police Department. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. April 20 near the 1000 block of South Blackhawk Street , police say. The teen was critically injured and taken to a freestanding urgent care center and then a hospital. She died from her injuries Friday afternoon, according to the release.
