April 15, 2024 - ​After more than 25 years of service to the City of Ann Arbor, Public Services Area Administrator Brian Steglitz will begin a new position on April 26 as the executive director of the Upper Occoquan Service Authority (UOSA), a wastewater utility in northern Virginia. This year, there are new rules for what can go in the compost stream. Only CMA-W certified compostable fiber products will be accepted, with BPI certified products, bamboo or palm leaf materials no longer allowed.
