A local gym owner’s new events business is picking up where a long-running arts nonprofit left off in Scott’s Addition.
The Workshop by T&D recently opened an event venue at 1400 Mactavish Ave., where it has taken over about half of the building formerly occupied by Studio Two Three.

In a bid to continue growing their fan base, the Tri-City Chili Peppers – the region’s other minor league baseball team – are turning off the lights.
This summer the franchise, which plays its home games at Shepherd Stadium in Colonial Heights, is debuting what it calls “cosmic baseball,” where the ballpark will be lit under black lights, and the players’ bats, balls and uniforms will glow in the dark.

A legal spat centered on 51 parking spaces in Scott’s Addition is heading up the ladder of the Virginia court system.
Dalian Development has formally filed an appeal to try to reverse a Richmond Circuit Court ruling related to a lease dispute on a surface parking lot Dalian owns at 3210 W. Marshall St.
Dalian filed its appeal April 26, bringing the matter into the Court of Appeals of Virginia.
