Forty thousand smackers separated the two priciest home sales in the region last month, both coming in near the $4 million mark.
The former residence of the late Brent and Lindsay Halsey topped the list at $3.8 million, above its February listing at $3.59 million. The 7,600-square-foot house at 213 Ampthill Road sold April 15 and overlooks the river in Richmond’s Paxton neighborhood.

The site of a long-running car wash near the intersection of Courthouse and Hull Street roads is slated to be wiped clean to make way for a coffee franchise that’s in the midst of a multi-unit push into the region.
