HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia State Police is currently investigating a deadly crash involving one car. According to police, at 11:18 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, officers responded to a single-car crash eastbound on Pocahontas Parkway at Wilson Road. Authorities said 51-year-old Lisa A. Coates, of Chesterfield, was driving at a high speed when her car ran off the road on the right side and hit a tree. The collision caused her vehicle to overturn multiple times. PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Petersburg residents are weighing in on the casino that could be on their ballots this November after the city's decision to choose the Cordish Companies to operate it. In a unanimous vote Wednesday night, Petersburg City Council chose the Baltimore-based company as the developer. Back in 2022, Cordish proposed a casino in Petersburg.
