NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles is experiencing production delays.   It’s not unusual to experience long lines at the DMV, but now it seems people are waiting for an entirely different reason.    A spokesperson for the NCDMV said the problem stems from an outside source and it is taking longer than the normal 15 days for customers to receive their credentials in the mail.  It’s a printing problem that stems from the private contractor used for production.   WWAY spoke with New Hanover County resident Landon Coine, who ..read more

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Commissioners and the City of Wilmington held a joint meeting on Monday to discuss the homeless situation in the area. More than 2 dozen service providers spoke during the meeting, providing and answering questions about how they help people who are experiencing homelessness. WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s been just over a week since a shooting occurred at a Downtown Wilmington nightclub.  On Monday, WWAY spoke with a different Downtown Wilmington business, who said cooperation and communication are reasons people should feel safe downtown.  Shots rang out shortly before 2 a.m. on April 14 inside the Pravda Night Club at 23 N. WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you’re flying in or out of Wilmington International Airport, there are a few new food options. The airport held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Dunkin’ Donuts, a Jimmy John’s sandwich shop, and a store called The Market.
