WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Commissioners and the City of Wilmington held a joint meeting on Monday to discuss the homeless situation in the area. More than 2 dozen service providers spoke during the meeting, providing and answering questions about how they help people who are experiencing homelessness. WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s been just over a week since a shooting occurred at a Downtown Wilmington nightclub.  On Monday, WWAY spoke with a different Downtown Wilmington business, who said cooperation and communication are reasons people should feel safe downtown.  Shots rang out shortly before 2 a.m. on April 14 inside the Pravda Night Club at 23 N. The airport held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Dunkin’ Donuts, a Jimmy John’s sandwich shop, and a store called The Market.
