According to the National Science Foundation, we have about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts a day and 80% of them have been found to be negative. I used to be a quiet person who never asked many questions because of my painful past experiences which included body shaming and bullying. I clamped myself up into an uninteresting bespectacled woman with no opinions. I remember, my inner critic being the loudest at those times. Years ago, I wanted to start a blog that could capture my experiences with my mental health, fast forward 5 years, I realised that I am not alone and that I could help a million more like me, with just some of my experiences, accurate information, self-help resources and possible support. Everyone has a brain and so everyone has mental health. I decided that I am going to write about the things that I assumed were unacceptable years ago not just to wrap myself in the solace- but provide others a space to relate as well! I currently work in the mental health sector and I’m a certified trauma ..read more
