A man shot by his neighbor's daughter may face criminal charges from the incident. She went to the home on Zeno St near Ionia Ave in Grand Rapids on Saturday when her father called, saying the man his neighbor had threatened him. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Attorneys for the former GRPD officer now charged in the death of Patrick Lyoya have filed an appeal with the states Supreme Court. They are requesting the high court once again analyze whether or not the lower courts made a mistake in pushing through the charges against him. The suspect in a northwest Grand Rapids homicide used a sword to kill Lynn Edward Jones earlier this week, according to court documents obtained by FOX 17. Jones was fatally injured after reports of a stabbing near Alpine Avenue and Seventh Street on Sunday, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD). His death was ruled a homicide.
