SLATON, Texas -- The Slaton Police Department is investigating after a 62-year-old man was reported to have died after suffering a "crush injury" at work. The man had been working between two 1500 pound stacks of cotton. According to the press release from Slaton PD, the squeeze lift operator was unaware the man was between the stacks, when he compressed the row. LYNN Co., Texas-- The Lynn County Hospital District was built in 1971, and most residents agree it could use some repairs. That’s why CEO of the Lynn County Healthcare System, Melanie Richburg, and others on the Lynn County Hospital District Board have fought for a bond for hospital renovations on the ballot. LUBBOCK, Texas-- West Texas cities are learning how to combat cyber security threats after a Russian hacking group breached their water systems and facilities earlier this year.  Muleshoe and Abernathy confirmed to Everythinglubbock.com that its systems were hacked on January 18.
