On day 8 of the Alvin Bragg, Manhattan District Attorney’s show trial against Donald Trump, the defense cross examined former publisher, David Pecker, of The National Enquirer. Pecker has negotiated a deal with Bragg’s team where he is promised he will not be prosecuted if he testifies as the D.A. wishes. Columbia, S.C. (April 24, 2024) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the Highway 472 bridge over Horsepen Creek in Horry County for replacement beginning on May 1. The closure is expected to last until November of 2024. During the closure, traffic will be detoured using Highway 471, Highway 905 and Highway 66. A map of the detour can be found below. According to MyrtleBeachSC News sources, Horry County Schools Superintendent Rick Maxey plans to retire at the end of June, following a controversy with Horry County School Board Member Debbie Edmunds.
