The 20th annual Reedy River Duck Derby was held May 3, 2024. Approximately 14,000 rubber ducks raced downriver at Falls Park in Greenville. The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of the Reedy River Greenville. Proceeds benefit local charities.

Local nonprofit Upstate International has opened registration for its 2024 summer language classes.
Interested individuals may choose from over 16 classes to learn one of seven languages such as French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Finnish.
Courses run from May 20 to Aug. 9 and are offered online and in-person at Upstate International’s office at 9 S. Memminger St. in Greenville.
For the 12-week term, regular classes meet once a week for 75 minutes and cost $144, while intensive courses are taught twice a week for 90 minutes and cost $385.
