Well, it's a fine day for talking crochet,  wait! Isn't that everyday?    Always on the mind it is, and ever in my heart.  I don't like being between projects, and I figure it's probably time to start something which will have a long shelf life for lack of a better term.   My interest has been peaked again in the area of afghans, I've made 3 or 4 in my time, 3 of them were granny ripples.   I made 1 just one with hexagons, I don't like joining the squares.  Hello Friends! Sharing today something a finished product of the crochet kind. It is a Victorian Capelet, I have a fancy for Victorian things. So when I found this pattern it fit the bit. It is done in the color Victorian Rose by Caron Simply Soft.  All the pictures are of the same item. Lighting and camera changes things, and I am most definitly not a photographer. The Story of the square.... These were given to me some years ago, I have 20 of them, they need only to have the loose ends weaved in, and join to make something really stunning.  I had always intended on doing something with them, and never did.   They were never completed by the original maker because she could no longer find the yarn to complete it. I've had them more than a few years now. It's a shame they are not fashioned up to be gorgeous... Well hello, hope you are all doing well.   Just a wee project on the hook, it has been for about 2 weeks now.  Sometimes the smallest details get in the way don't they? I worked through the bigger portion of this project with ease, the flowers, the flowers are hanging me up. This isn't the first one I've made either. I don't have a project, a crochet funk?  Oh I don't know what it is, I don't like not having a project, I started something but it just didn't keep my attention. For another day I suppose. After a few days of resting and renewing I've picked up the hook a size 7mm steel hook, and using some sage colored size 10 Crochet Thread.    I don't feel like taking on a long project, or a new pattern. Using thread from the stash and a pattern I've used before.
