RACINE – President Biden returns to Wisconsin next week. The president will campaign in Racine on Wednesday, May 8th. Following the visit, he will travel to Chicago, Illinois, the White House announced Friday. No other details were shared. MOUNT HOREB, Wis. — The community of Mount Horeb is still reeling from a tragedy: a student from their own school district attempting to enter the Mount Horeb Middle School with a gun. Police shot and killed the student before they could enter the building on Wednesday. Classes are canceled again Friday and will resume on Monday. MILWAUKEE — Former Milwaukee election official Kimberly Zapata receives her sentence: one year of probation and a $3,000 fine. Zapata was convicted in March of felony misconduct in public office and 3 misdemeanors for ordering absentee military ballots under fake names ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
