WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Five colleges in south-central Kansas are uniting to solve the state's teacher shortage. The project is called Educate the State. It involves two public colleges, Butler Community College and Cowley College, and three private colleges, Friends University, Newman University, and Southwestern College. They say they have created a more affordable transfer option for Secondary Education majors. Bush's paintings are going to Disney World.  EPCOT, one of the theme parks at Disney's resort in Orlando, Fla., announced Wednesday that it will soon be home to a special exhibit of Bush's artwork. COWLEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) -- An 82-year-old Arkansas City man died after the Brush Hog riding lawn mower he was using overturned on him. The Cowley County Sheriff's Office said the call came in around 3:50 p.m. Deputies and Winfield Fire/EMS were sent to the 13000 block of 212th Road for an injury accident. (WGN-TV) — A candy sold at Walgreens has unexpectedly become a viral hit thanks to TikTok. The pharmacy store chain has been forced to impose a one-bag limit per customer on Walgreens' Nice! brand Gummy Mango peelable candy.  It went viral after being introduced last year, and ever since, Walgreens has had trouble keeping the candy in stock. TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) — The deadly tornado that hit the town of Westmoreland now has an official rating. The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed to 27 News that the tornado is rated as an EF3. The path length of that tornado was 2.5 miles long, with wind speeds of 130-140 miles per hour. Two other tornadoes hit northeast Kansas counties Tuesday afternoon. (AP) — Regular mammograms to screen for breast cancer should start younger, at age 40, according to an influential U.S. task force. Women ages 40 to 74 should get screened every other year, the group said.
