It is a windy Friday morning in the middle Rio Grande Valley, especially in the Metro. The winds are coming in from the east, up to 50 mph, and will stay windy through mid-morning. The winds will lighten this afternoon, with gusts up to 35 mph. Skies will be partly cloudy today, and we will see more showers in the northern mountains and east mountains this afternoon, with virga and light showers possible in the Metro. ORANGE CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A Northwestern College student is about to graduate with four majors under his belt. Isaiah Gritters spent the last four years studying biology health professions, business administration/finance, economics, and chemistry, all while keeping a 4.0 GPA. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The defense attorney for Matthew Chavez, who was acquitted of second-degree murder after originally being convicted in 2018, is reacting to the jury's verdict in the trial. In 2016, Tyler Lackey was at an ATM when Matthew Chavez tried to rob him. According to witness testimony, Lackey took out his gun and Chavez shot and killed Lackey.
