LA Golf Shafts BLU and RED Hybrid Shafts

In golf, finding a club with the wrong shaft will make it perform like a Pinto at the Daytona 500.  When you find the right shaft that club then turns into a Ferrari.  Every time you turn around you hear another Tour player changing to add a LA Golf shaft in their bag.   I needed to see what all of the hype was about.   I got a couple new utility irons added to the bag and struggled with them from the beginning.  The shafts were wobbling all over the place.  If my timing was right they went a long way.  If I was off I was way off.  I had ..read more

It goes without saying that I love my SkyCaddie SX500 device on the course.  Its easy to use and has a great display.  At the PGA Show in January I met with the team at SkyCaddie.  I left there really excited about a new device that I saw, the LX5 Ceramic Bezel GPS Smartwatch.   I had been looking for a watch to wear on the golf course.  Normally, if I am out, I wear an Invicta.  I really like them but they are a little too bulky to wear when you swing a club.  SkyCaddie has created that very watch!   The Watch The LX5 comes with a ..read more

Who Paid You Club Pro Guy?

I have to say, 99% of the time I really like Club Pro Guy. I think that he is funny.  A great addition to remind us that we all need to really laugh. His antics on the Thursday Night Men’s league are great. Yesterday, however, was the 1% exception of his antics. Club Pro Guy posted a video on his social media platforms on a “review” of Sqairz golf shoes. The “review” was nothing but a roasting from start to finish. While parts of this may have been factual.  The remainder was a complete degradation of the only shoe you will find on my feet when I’m on the course.   My Sqairz Bac ..read more

Welcome Sign     A couple years ago, my dad and I went and played Streamsong Red.  I fell in love with the place.   The whole property is a golf destination unlike any other in Florida.   Recently I made the drive back out to Streamsong, this time to play the Black course.  This Gil Hanse design is the 3rd and newest design at the resort.  Again, the experience didn’t disappoint.       The Roundabout Roundabout Bunkering  After a visit to the driving range we went over to The Roundabout.  This is ..read more

As someone who played Cleveland Blade Wedges since I was in High School, going to anything that looks less than traditional is never easy.  With age, and children, needing something more easier to control has become more up my speed.  There are a lot of companies out there that have gone to the “High Toe” or Full Face wedge and Cleveland Golf made their entry with the CBX Full Face Wedge.   CBX Full Face Design The wedge designers at Cleveland Golf did an amazing job with the CBX Full Face Wedge.  The first thing that I noticed about the wedge was how gre ..read more

Golf bags come in all shapes and sizes.  Ranging anywhere from a small bag that can carry about half your clubs all the way up to the PGA Tour staff bags.  It is the users preference as to what bag they want.  I have used just about every style of bag and tend to stick with a stand bag.  Recently, I tested a new bag that came out at the PGA Show called MNML Golf Bag.  I quickly became a believer in a Sunday Style Bag.   The MNML Design They say that good things come in small packages.  MNML has designed a golf bag that may not have the pocket ..read more
