Yes, counseling can be intimidating and looked down upon, but these are misconceptions. My job as a therapist is to give my clients the tools and knowledge they need to deal with the issues in their life, they have identified as problems (no one else). I strive to make my clients feel comfortable and provide a space that allows for complete trust, confidentiality, and honesty; no matter what they are seeking services for.
