Roberson and Vettori agreed to rebook a fight originally scheduled for UFC Jacksonville after the two nearly came to blows in the event’s host hotel. The June 13 event is headlined by a flyweight fight between one-time title challenger Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo. In an appearance on What the Heck, Calvillo spoke of battles with online criticism over the June 13 headliner and a move to flyweight after several misses at the scale while fighting at strawweight. A UFC Fight Night card set for June 13 at the UFC APEX includes 10 bouts and a highly anticipated grudge match. UFC Preside ..read more

The Clone Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Again, the structure of the beginning is definitely a reminder that it’s the end. There’s no title card with a meaningful lesson or moral. And the typical logo is turned red. Not to mention, the usual music intro for The Clone Wars is instead replaced with the iconic Star Wars fanfare. And to add to the feel that you’re watching one of the films, the title card that is shown says, “Part I: Old Friends Not Forgotten.” The opening narration sets the audience up: Separatists are hitting the Outer Rim hard. And so the Jedi and Republic troops go to those outlying planets to try to end the Sep ..read more

There are musical numbers, there’s a bad guy, and of course, there’s a beautiful princess for fans to meet. This animated movie originally premiered during 1997, however, it’s since made its Broadway debut. Now, some are wondering if Anastasia is available on Disney+. Unfortunately for Disney+ subscribers, it may be a little bit longer before this princess and her movie joins the streaming platform’s library. Currently, Anastasia is not listed on this subscription service. That could be subject to change, being that Disney technically owns this animated movie   Thanks to the Disn ..read more

Matilda was released in the summer of 1996 — more than two whole decades ago. If you can't believe it's been that long, you aren't alone.  Based on the Roald Dahl novel of the same name, Matilda follows the title character as she uses telekinesis and her genius intellect to manage life with her not-so-genius family and an oppressive principal at school. With more than 20 years of devoted fandom, you may be wondering what the cast of Matilda looks like today, and what it is they're all up to. Buckle up, because we've got the answers!  Matilda's best friend Lavender was played by ..read more

It can be easy to feel like the world is ending if you pay attention to the... well, everything that's going on in it. Partisan politics, global pandemics, dogs and cats living together.  We understand that it's a lot. It's rarely consolation to say this, but things could certainly be worse. "How could things possibly be worse?" you may ask (go ahead and say it out loud; it will help you picture it) in this figurative scenario. Well, we've got just the answer for you. If you want to take comfort in the idea of "at least our end of the world isn't that bad," you should probably feast ..read more

The meeting broke up without agreement on where to set the budget cap for the next two seasons and beyond, but all sides in the debate described it as positive and constructive. The main thrust of the discussion was a plan to set a cap of $145m (£116.6m) next year and lower it to $130m in 2022. Other proposals on the rules included a sliding scale of allowance for aerodynamic research, with less successful teams, allowed more. That was an idea put forward by the top teams, who presented it as an elegant way to level the field, in a similar fashion to the draft in American football in the ..read more

“The crisis we’re in now is the final wake-up call that a sport which was unhealthy before and not sustainable has now reached a point where we need big changes and drastic changes as well,” says Seidl. “For us the most important thing is we simply make the next big step on the budget cap. “We think it’s absolutely important now with all the financial losses we will face this year - the magnitude of it still being unknown because so far we don’t actually know when we can go back racing - I think it’s important to first of all combine with all the other measures like freezing the cars (carr ..read more

Last year was McLaren’s best in seven years, the British team finishing fourth in the constructors’ championship with their first podium – courtesy of Carlos Sainz – since the season-opening 2014 Australian Grand Prix. The momentum was with them and came after Brown and Seidl had put a new leadership structure in place and reshuffled the organization and infrastructure. Hopes were high that in 2020 they could kick on from their position as head of the midfield after a decent showing in testing, but then the coronavirus halted that momentum. And Seidl concedes it will have an impact on thei ..read more

So how are McLaren coping with the current crisis? On Wednesday, Team Principal Andreas Seidl gave a wide-ranging interview, discussing the team’s current situation, the impact of the virus on the calendar and why his team is keen to see the budget cap reduced. McLaren was the first team to reveal they had put some of their staff on furlough, with senior management and the drivers among those taking a pay cut. Racing Point, Williams, Renault and Haas subsequently followed suit. The move was designed to protect jobs and the health of the business in the short term – and it was not a decisio ..read more
