In “Palm Royale,” Apple TV’s hit series, flowers not only help, but fluff up the storyline of world class social climbing .
It’s Palm Beach circa 1969. Maxine Delacourte, an ambitious wife played hilariously by Kristen Whig, is trying to ascend the social ladder. Naturally there are established doyennes who delight in trying to create barricades for her entry into their country club, Palm Royale. Delacourte’s madcap attempts to prevail may be the plot line, but it also allows us, the viewer, a peek at luxury on the highest level.

Flower installations interpreted by artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet are blooming on NYC’s Fifth Avenue.
For the month of May, Van Cleef & Arpels in partnership with the Fifth Avenue Association in NYC, have lined the streets from 50th to 59th with what they call a colorful 3-D ‘unfolding garden complete with interactive elements, day-to-night visibility and sketch-like design to welcome spring to New Yorkers.
These structures offer a respite for New Yorkers on the go to stop, and maybe not smell the roses, since there are few live flowers, but to be ..read more

Everyone likes getting flowers for their birthday. But when you are Barbra Streisand, you get LOTS of them. She doesn’t have to worry as she sang in her song, “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers.” Plenty of pals sent beautiful bouquets. And of course many of those bouquets had roses.
Streisand, who has been one of the rare stars o the century to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony, just celebrated her 82nd birthday. She also has a lavender hybrid tea rose named after her from Weeks Roses so notice all the purple colors too.
The iconic songstress shared all the flowers s ..read more

Here’s a tasty floral treat to look forward to!
While the RHS Chelsea Flower Show requires coveted tickets to attend – and gets sold out quickly – anyone could enjoy the tangential Chelsea in Bloom, which celebrates its 15th year. It is the bucket list experience I always recommend.
Over 80 stores, restaurants and hotels participate in creating London’s largest FREE flower festival right near the show that includes Sloane Street, Pavilion Road, Duke of York Square and King’s Road. It is organized by Cadogan in association wi ..read more

You got to love the creativity of some floral artists. After all, flowers express what words often can not. It’s a visual vocabulary.
So first, here’s a shout-out to Love Always Floral in Fargo, North Dakota. The clever artists used a scabiosa and craspedia to mimic the eclipse.
As we know, on April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse moved across North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk. The ne ..read more

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko gave U.S. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden the perfect gift.
More cherry blossoms! How many? 250 of them.
These trees will replace the 100 that have to be removed as part of a restoration project now taking place around the famous Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. Sea walls that were built in the 1800s have sunk and need to be replaced to protect the Jefferson Memorial from storm surges.
As we know, Washington D.C.’s iconic cherry trees were a gift from Japan in 1912.
The gift, says Prime Minister Ki ..read more
