We are two weeks into lockdown in the UK, and well it can be a bit of a depressing time, we can’t see friends or family or be in what would be the ‘usual routine’. Day 12, the housemates are trying to stay sane! Here in the UK, we have been in ‘lockdown’ since the 23rd March, we are allowed to leave to exercise once a day and only allowed to leave otherwise for essentials. So getting food from the shops. Most people have now stopped work or are working from home with only those classed as ‘key workers’ still going into work. I am not zero waste; in fact, I am far from it. I give in to the convenience of a supermarket and that often entails waste. I am also not currently personally buying all the food I eat, so that leaves me slightly out of control of my zero ‘waste ish ness’ – or at least for now it’s a good excuse.
