Why it's important to be imperfect Imperfect Actions and the Environmental Movement. Action is action and doing the best you can is 100% valid. Absolutely no one should be cast out of the environmental movement. Helping the environment can seem overwhelming, theres so much to think about so much change needed. Theres veganism, zero waste, minimalism, buying second hand and ‘thrifting’. You also need to stop driving everywhere, buy an electric car, shop locally, recycle, use less energy, not use planes, and of course plant lots of trees. Talk about overwhelming, you want to help the e ..read more

Where Have I been? A long awaited Blog Post By Hannah Limberger It has been a long time since I did anything on here, but sometimes just Life… It has been a tough and busy couple of months, despite Coronavirus taking control of my social life and wiping out my holidays and cool adventures this summer! I am not going to dive too much into stuff, thats not really what I am into, but I figured I would start up on the blog again with a bit of a background before I delve into more usual topics.  Earlier this year I started working as a Project Co Ordinator for a really interesting p ..read more

What's with all the Milk?? Breakdown of the environmental impacts of the dairy industry and the most sustainable dairy alternatives.  I thought this would be a good follow on from last weeks article on veganism in COVID-19. If you haven’t read that yet. Click here.   Theres now an abundance of plant-based milks out there and if you are only just starting to explore the plant-based world, I am sure you might feel a bit overwhelmed. I know I am not alone when I say that growing up, I was programmed to think that we drink one kind of milk and it makes your bones strong. And no ..read more

Now is the time to be Vegan? COVID-19 are meat eaters to blame? Alternative meat sales are skyrocketing due to problems with the ‘usual’ meat supply chain and worries of coronavirus originating through this supply is leaving people asking if veganism is the answer to coronavirus! Did you hear about the guy who was SLAMMED by social media for claiming that COVID-19 only exists because we eat animals? My own thoughts and feelings aside, I absolutely agree that being plant based is a more ‘eco’ way of living and absolutely can lead to a healthier lifestyle, it certainly did with me. But ..read more

Can you buy an Ethical Mobile phone? I was in the market for a new smart phone. Is there such thing as an ethical, environmentally friendly phone?  Previous Next So my old phone was getting a bit shitty. And by that I mean it was smashed to pieces and starting to lack the ability to function. Thanks mountain biking for your help with this!! I had a Motorola and it was serving me well, as budget smart phone of the year it did its job and at a really neat price tag. So, do I go for the next model, I mean it was cheap what can be the downside? I was struggling to know what to ..read more

We are two weeks into lockdown in the UK, and well it can be a bit of a depressing time, we can’t see friends or family or be in what would be the ‘usual routine’. Plus the shelves have pretty much been stripped bare so that valuable time out the house to get supplies doesn’t exactly put a smile on your face! But we are in this situation and we have to do what we can to get through this together – thank the Lord for technology! It looks like the death toll in the UK is slowly starting to level out which is a great sign, and really highlights the reason why we all need to take this seriously an ..read more

Day 12, the housemates are trying to stay sane! Here in the UK, we have been in ‘lockdown’ since the 23rd March, we are allowed to leave to exercise once a day and only allowed to leave otherwise for essentials. So getting food from the shops. Most people have now stopped work or are working from home with only those classed as ‘key workers’ still going into work. This is a difficult time for everyone and my heart goes out for people in complete isolation during this time or those why have been unable to say goodbye to their loved ones. Full-time van dwellers also have it rough, sites are shut ..read more

Well, there goes my plan to do a blog post twice per week. In my defence, I was on holiday and I don’t know about you but when I am away, I tend to slip away from social media. How to build your following whilst being a social recluse? I haven’t quite figured that out yet. Anyway. I went skiing for the first time, I thought I had done it once as a little kid but apparently, that was snowboarding. So on my return, I realised I was much more beginner than I first thought! We stayed in Tignes, France and it was all pretty incredible from the chalet which sat amongst the piste to the snow-covered ..read more

5 products to kick start a less wasteful lifestyle.

I am not zero waste; in fact, I am far from it. I give in to the convenience of a supermarket and that often entails waste. I am also not currently personally buying all the food I eat, so that leaves me slightly out of control of my zero ‘waste ish ness’ – or at least for now it’s a good excuse. That being said, I am dedicated to reducing the rubbish I produce. The zero-waste trend was never supposed to be about a small handful of people doing things perfectly, just as veganism, avoiding palm oil, reducing your car usage or any environmental movement was supposed to be. It’s about lots of peo ..read more
