On a Saturday afternoon during the December holidays, I managed to convince my mom to take my nephew for a visit to the animal orphanage. Needless to say, I was also eager to go because I had been there when I was very young and wanted to relive the experience once again.  Nairobi Animal Orphanage, located approximately 7kms from the city center, is an educational part of the Nairobi National Park Trip. It is the oldest orphanage in Kenya and serves as a training, educational and volunteering facility. It houses over 20 different bird and animal species that were harmed or endangered and nu ..read more

Cafe Treeanon: A High Tea experience in Seoul
Adventures of Clare

Cafe Treeanon is located in Cheongdam-dong, just a short walk away from Gangnam-gu Office Station exit 4. The cafe is pretty hidden, one could easily get lost on their way there. Upon arrival, one is greeted by an old building with a vintage charm. My friend and I went there during the winter season, which I think is a perfect season for a nice cup of tea. The cafe entrance is apparently usually lined with green bushes and roses if the season is right, but I went during winter so everything was pretty much dried up. There is an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your tea during the s ..read more

A day in Langkawi

In order to enjoy a whole day doing set activities in Langkawi island, I think it’s more advisable to arrive a night before instead of the same morning. My friends and I had booked a hotel near the Pantai Cenang beach. You can spend the night or evening at the beach enjoying the cool breeze while sipping drinks or having some sheesha. You could also do some beach activities if you are there early enough like parasailing, banana rides, swimming etc. Tip: Book a hotel that is directly accessible to the beach to save on time and transport. Langkawi happens to host a number of luxurious hotels ..read more

Dash Resort is a charming getaway resort located along Pantai Tengah. The 4-star hippy resort overlooks the dreamy Andaman sea and is tucked away from the Pantai Cenang massive crowds, making it an ideal place for a romantic getaway. Dash resort exhibits a unique colour combination of teal and white, resembling the colour palette for Santorini, Greece. Aside, the resort concept is adapted from the famous Alice in Wonderland. I’d say it isn’t like any typical resort. From the gigantic 9-meter tall rabbit statue to the oversized pop culture portraits. The resort has 108 guest rooms compri ..read more
