The peace did not last long after the consecutive blows that led to the almost simultaneous falls of Kuetzal and Envestio. After a rather calm February, the crisis of COVID19 has fell upon the crowdfunding and crowlending sector (and everything else, really), and in less than a month has already helped bring to light two new scams: Monethera and Grupeer. Besides, practically every platform and originator is having to adapt to new national regulations, the inability of many borrowers to pay the installments, and the panic of investors, who are trying to get out as soon as possible. There is lit ..read more

After January's turmoil, February's been relatively calm. As mentioned last month, as a positive note, the surviving platforms have made efforts throughout this month (and hopefully this new attitude will continue over time) to show signs of transparency, offering more information about their internal processes and they way they operate: Monethera, TFG Crowd, DoFinance, Grupeer, Viventor, Crowdestor, Peerberry... From now on, I will remain particularly alert with the P2B platforms of similar profile to Kuetzal and Envestio; that is, very young platforms, with very high interests, headquarte ..read more

January has been a black month for crowdlending investors. Bad start to 2020. Two platforms have disappeared overnight with the investors' money: Kuetzal and Envestio. I'm not going to go into details. Much has been written about it. There are initiatives to recover the money, but minimal chance of getting it back. First of all, my apologies if anyone was inspired to invest by my results. I didn't have too much invested in them (1.8% of my crowd wallet). I reckon I'll have covered the losses in a month. I'm left with the positive part: the lessons learned. I hope they'll help me never fall ..read more

November has been a good month, although after the maximum returns in October, things have returned to their course: 8.2% compared to 10.0% last month, for a total of 330,000 euros invested. The profitability of P2B Crowdlending platforms (8.4% vs. 5.4%) and P2P Crowdlending platforms (14.0% vs 13.7%), while the return rate of my investments in Real Estate Crowdfunding platforms (3.9% vs. 8.6%). This month, I've added the trendline of my monthly return rates, which confirms an upward trend ever since I started investing. October has been one record month, with the highest return rate since I started investing on Crowd platforms (9.8% versus 9.2% in September), with a total of 325,000 euros invested. Interestingly, despite these returns record, there's been a drop in the return rates of platforms P2B Crowdlending platforms (13.7% vs. 15.1%) and P2P Crowdlending platforms (4.3% vs. 7.7%), and here was an increase just in the return rate of my investment in Real Estate Crowdfunding platforms (8.6% from 5.1%). The improvement of the results in real estate crowdfunding is due to the completion and payment of se ..read more

My reflections one year and a half later. My first crowd investment date back to 2016, but it was not until March 2018 when I began to explore and invest systematically in the most promising platforms. After a year I made my first ranking with the best 3-4 platforms for each category: real estate, P2P and P2B. Now, a year and a half later, it's time for an update. My idea, in the future, is to reevaluate the ranking every six months. Note that, in recent months I have invested in six new platforms, although I do not incorporate any into the analysis. There has been no time to evaluate them co ..read more

September has been an excellent month, with the highest returns since January 2019 (9.1% compared to 7.3% in August). For the first time in months, the profitability of all types of platforms has improved: P2B Crowdlending platforms (7.6%), Real Estate Crowdfunding platforms (5.0%) and P2P Crowdlending platforms (7.6%). I attribute the improved results in real estate crowdfunding to the reduction in my positions in the Spanish market (Housers and Privalore) together with the peak in returns of Estateguru. Same as my income decreased in P2P last month due to the drop of the ruble agains ..read more

August has been an excellent month, although the monthly return rate has fallen to 7.3% (versus 7.9% in July). P2B Crowdlending platforms have improved their return rate compared to July, up 9.5%, while Real Estate Crowdfunding platforms and P2P Crowdlending platforms and they have fallen to 12.2% and 3.3%, respectively. Really disappointing results in real estate crowdfunding in August. The 3.3% obtained is the lowest monthly return rate in over one year (May 2018). This is mainly due to the cooling housing market in Spain over the last few months, where I am too exposed through House ..read more

July has been an excellent month, with a return of 8.3% (compared to 7.2% in June). In fact, July has been the second best month (in terms of monthly return rate). P2P Crowdlending platforms and P2B Crowdlending platforms have improved their performance compared to June, up to 13.8% and 9.5%, respectively, unlike Real Estate Crowdfunding platforms that have dropped to 4%. Main news on my portfolio The main news of the month are: I've added to the analysis my most recent platforms: Kuetzal (April), Crowdestor (April) and Reinvest24 (May). I am exploring new platforms to invest in the ..read more
