?Motivation may be dwindling right about now...comes & goes at the best of times
?maybe the thought of another banded, home workout fills you with dread…(try using the band as a slingshot...?helps with frustration- highly recommended)
Some things are out of our control altogether, some we can do something about
Look, like i said in previous posts, and what seems to be the theme of the-year-we-shall-not-name, do as you wish
?Maybe, now, simply shift focus to habit based goals we can see ourselves realistically sustain whilst this phantasmagoric blockdown is on
?Habit Based goals you c ..read more

It started with a question to a friend about a personal situation i was living through. Her answer was one word that makes so much sense but i needed more to unlock the value of lesson, i clearly still had to learn & was obsessing over, going round in circle.
I ask myself ‘why’ am i like i am and what can i discover that can help me improve on myself, as well as getting a better insight into others, so i can live in the world with the most optimal chances of achieving my goals, live a less chaotic life and simple desire to know myself better.
I discovered Dr. Jordan Peterson only recently ..read more

PRIORITIES FOR FATLOSS VS WASTE OF TIME, MONEY ENERGY
What can you affect RIGHT NOW, that's within your control, you can take action on, will over-time yield results VS the lure of purchasing through well marketed campaigns that will most likely cost you a pretty penny, waste time, set you back in your journey
I get it. A magic solution to your fatloss seems like a good idea.
Before i knew more, i fell pray to pretty much all of the following:
- ketones pills
- thermopures
- pre-workouts
- latest fad diet (cedar, atkins, cambridge, pills)
You name it, i had tried it. For a short while, i lost ..read more

STAGES OF READINESS TO CHANGE
Is a model we use to assess your current stage of desire to exercise in order to better understand your motivations and create with you the most suitable strategy at this point in time to achieve your goal.
“Stages of change model by Prochaska & DiClemente, 1983 was originally constructed & published in reference to addictive behaviours then modified (Prochaska & Marcus, 1994) to describe a series of stages that begin with thinking about exercise & end with engaging in a regular exercise habit.”*

SO YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT PREPPING...

Ask yourself: Why am i doing it for?
Is it to reach a fitness goal
for ease and convenience
because everyone seems to be doing it?
In anything relating to our fitness journey, we all have to make a tons of choices and decisions everyday. If we can make our life easier to stick to the plan, save some time (and some money), then i am all up for it.

Gin-gle bells, gin-gle bells, gin-gle all the way to the many social gatherings this Christmas season is going to bring. For many of us, December is a chance to unwind and spoil ourselves a little bit more than usual without being totally mindful (although totally joyful lol) about how much we consume and drink. It's the lead up to Christmas: parteee season has officially started, which means we are out more, more likely to make concessions, skip leg day one time more than we would usually do, may splurge on the extra calories, liquid or otherwise... So what's one to do: go cold turkey (se ..read more

First month of the new year, you got your gym membership, you are starting out and are excited as hell.
It dawns on you that you are not quite sure when to go to the gym. It was a barrier before. You lead a busy life. You may not be totally sold on this gym life just yet.
Have i got the time? I want you to do an exercise, to gain some perspective of time in relation to training.
Think of your time on a weekly basis: 24 hours in a day multiply by 7 days = 168 hours available to you Say that out of those you get to sleep 7-8hrs multiply by 7 days = 49-56hr spent resting (and do rest). Great ..read more

5 LIFE LESSONS FROM A STRAY CAT So it happens I love felines. Cats especially I have always had an affinity with them and was lucky enough to have some wonderful cats when I was growing up.
When I came back to the UK in July, I was in a tough spot. New career. Unfinished business. Many disappointments. Having to leave my family behind at the airport again. I was sad. Out of the blue, this black cat with green eyes started coming over sitting in the garden. He’d stare and meow at me. Then come over for a cuddle. He was guarded. But he gave me affection and slowly we started building ..read more

For me exercise is my therapy. For the time I am at the gym, there is nothing but me, the weights & a stroll on the treadmill. Everything else gets forgotten, I get real personal downtime. However, there are days that life gets in the way, or you are aware you need to take some time to rest. It is tempting to just workout everyday, hell, sometimes we feel guilty if we don’t. Truth is, the body needs time to recuperate and make the adaptations that will result in big changes to your body. It does this ‘at rest’. Now, I am not saying simply not to move for a day of two, yes we need thos ..read more
