I was born and raised in Nashville. My parents’ families are from Memphis. We are TN deep. As a kid, I used to spend many summer weekends in Memphis and it’s been great going back as an adult recently to experience a different side. Memphis has grown so much in the last year and it continues to add new, exciting attractions. Staycations and Daycations in Nashville are my summer 2021 jam! Nashville has so many great options to choose from when you’re coming in town for a weekend or a local staying a night. I had one of the best beach trips this month. I took my first trip down to Pensacola. I was hosted for 3 nights at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Hotel. There isn’t an airport in the beach area so you have to fly into Pensacola. On a good day it’s about 35-45 minutes. Due to a hurricane in November 2020, there was only 1 bridge operational. It took us about 1.5 hours to get to the hotel which cut into our beach time a little bit. That really was the biggest snag, but once there, everything was so good.
