Hemophilia of Georgia is seeking dedicated volunteers to serve at Camp Wannaklot this summer. We would love for you to join us, whether it’s the full week, multiple days, or just one day! Camp Wannaklot is a weeklong summer camp dedicated to youth, ages 7 – 17, who have a bleeding disorder. This year, we will experience our new location at Camp Twin Lakes Will-A-Way. Tom W. has been a lifelong patient of Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG). When he was an infant, he was in his mother’s arms when they were in a car crash and ended up with a large knot on his head from the impact. His doctor wisely suggested testing for hemophilia since he had a known family history of it. He was diagnosed with mild hemophilia and has been an HoG patient for as long as he can remember. April is the last month to apply for the John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarship. The money is granted to eligible Hemophilia of Georgia clients to pay for education after high school. You must qualify before applying. Submit your online pre-qualification form by May 1 to see if you qualify. To qualify, you must: Be an HoG client with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, or other inherited bleeding disorder.
