Once again, it’s released by Ossuary Records, a Polish label specializing in promoting Polish heavy metal abroad. Serpent’s Kiss continues the musical path taken on their debut album, offering traditional heavy metal in the style of Iron Maiden, which is the main inspiration for the Polish band, but not the only one. The Moshville Times
by Ross
3d ago
It’s hard to believe it’s been over a year since Oli Brown & the Dead Collective made their live debut and after a couple of one-offs and a support tour with The Answer, they’ve not been out on the road. However, they’ve managed to release another couple of EPs in Prologue and Epilogue and with this, their first headline tour christened “Initium”, it’s clear Brown and his collective are focusing on beginnings, albeit the end of this first chapter. We’re in the smaller room in KK’s Steel Mill tonight, the big room quiet and people are freely milling about on this Thursday night. By the time ..read more

We’ve been lucky enough to be asked to sponsor the first ever Hella Rock Festival so we thought in the run-up to the big day, we best get to know the bands we’ll be seeing over the course of the day. So let’s hear from the openers who’ll be playing their hometown – Luna Kiss! Simple things first – where are you guys from? Coventry! How long have you been playing together as a band? Farnham-based skate rockers Kit Trigg have shared a captivating new video for their track “Grow with the Flow” ahead of a string of tour dates as special guests to Marisa and the Moths. The track is taken from Kit’s latest EP Goin’ for Glory and features stripped back guitar and a powerful vocal which soulfully channels the raw emotion of this heartfelt ballad. Interview: Heitham Al-Sayed of Lodestar
The Moshville Times
by Steve

They say that you should never meet your heroes. Well, all I have to say to those people is: you need to choose better heroes. In my experience, this has always been bad advice (well, with one exception). One of the joys of interviewing a band on behalf of a fanzine or other publication is the anticipation of which band member(s) you’re going to get. No offence to Alan, John or Charlie but I was delighted to see (Lodestar vocalist) Heitham Al-Sayed walk into the Hope & Ruin for a chat with yours truly before their recent Brighton gig. Whilst short of stature, the guy has always been a gian ..read more

Single Review: Weight Bearer – Crimson
The Moshville Times
by Mosh

I really don’t get the chance to do all the reviews I wish I could, or let you know about all the excellent unsigned, independent talent that we love to support. So I’m really glad that I found a little window in my schedule to be able to draft a few words about this absolute behemoth from Weight Bearer. Hailing from Preston, Weight Bearer profess to “forge a soundtrack to these bleak times”, and on the basis of “Crimson” they certainly know what bleak is. Mind, coming from Preston they have an unfair advantage… The track kicks in with a nice, slow, bass-led rhythm. Plenty of twang and then so ..read more
