As of late I sunk all of my free time into the Digital News Observer web site. In addition to re-writing the RSS parser on the backend in Perl I am also doing a weekly news podcast. The new engine I have named Gabbro, following my rock name theme. I have also included it as a project on the Blair County Pa Perl Mongers Group which I started a while ago. I am hoping this project may encourage more local programmers to clone the repository and get engaged.
