My name is Jonny and my husband’s name is Anthony. We met each other in 2011 and got married in May 2016 and adopted our 2 son’s in January 2019 at ages 2 and 4- they are now 3 and 5. We both knew we wanted children and openly talked about it quite early in the relationship. Probably on the second or third date, I instigated the conversation and it was pretty high on the “what I was looking for” in a relationship. Ant ticked all the boxes and when he said he was looking for someone to marry and have a family with it was the icing on the cake. I come from a very close family and have 2 amazi ..read more

WHAT.A.DAY! Darran and I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. Longer than Pudding has been with us. In many ways, Pudding has been our son since 6th Feb 2019, the day he moved in with us. There was 1 obstacle in the way, a massive obstacle! He wasn’t legally our son. He wasn’t our son in the eyes of the law. 8th January 2020 changed that. HHJ Murffit officially granted the adoption order. 8th Jan 2020 will always be a very special date in the Lincoln-Shaw house. Its the day we legally became a family. The Morning Luckily on the day, I was working from home so we ..read more

Our First Christmas

As we celebrated our first Christmas as a family it was the last one to be celebrated in the 2010s. If you had asked me back in 2009 how I would be celebrating Christmas in 2019 I would not have said with my husband and child.  I would probably have said still at home with my mum and dad, single, fat & ugly and probably still thinking I would never find someone to love and to love me back. Having a child probably wouldn’t have been in my answer. What a decade makes. The Preparation  We started buying presents back in October which didn’t leave us enough time to get them and pay fo ..read more

Disclaimer: We were gifted an all-Day pass with additional Ragdoll & The Tiger Who came to tea tickets. This review wasn’t part of the gifted experience we just want to do it. We decided to get the train to Stratford instead of messing about with the traffic and parking. Plus Pudding loves a train journey. From where we live, getting to Stratford is pretty easy. We get the train straight to West Ham, onto the Jubilee which is one stop to Stratford. The centre is about a 5-minute walk from the station. The Morning If you’re a regular to our blog, you will know that since Pudd ..read more
