My furry baby Mr Bubbles and I curled up on the sofa to watch “The Buddy Holly Story” the other day as part of my research into celebrities and the actors who portray them. I swear Mr Bubbles enjoys watching biopics as much as I do! Anyway, my baby died on the morning of the anniversary of Buddy Holly’s plane crash. I’ll miss my kitty but there’s something very cool about his connection to Buddy. If you’d like to read more about famous people and the actors who have portrayed them, why not subscribe? Paul Newman: An astrological perspective

Originally published in The Astrological Association Journal, January/February 2009 Paul Newman was a hero of mine. I loved his rebellious, sometimes cranky nature, his smouldering good looks with the piercing blue eyes. I loved it that he drove fast cars well and that he was so satisfied with what he had that he could donate some of his wealth to worthy causes. He exuded contentment in life and within his marriage. He was a wonderful cook – so much so that his friends inspired him to market his own sauces and dressings. What else could we expect of someone with […] The post Paul Newman: An as ..read more

Tribute to Jonathan Cainer

I can’t believe it’s been seven years since the death of Jonathan Cainer on 2 May 2016. Many astrologers — as well as many fans and admirers — were affected by his passing. As my own children grew up with his and as he played such a huge role in shaping my life, I still find it very difficult to talk about him. But Jon still drops in for a visit every now and again. He still tells me I worry far more than I should. I get the idea he might be impressed with what I’m doing. As the […] The post Tribute to Jonathan Cainer appeared first on Alex Trenoweth ..read more

Siegfried and Roy: Masters of the Impossible

I’m very sad to hear the magician Siegfried Fischbacher died yesterday. I’m not a fan of keeping wild animals caged up to entertain humans but I always thought Siegfried and Roy loved their big cats and kept their animals well. I never got a chance to see any of their live shows but I loved watching you tube videos of their performances. Like everyone else, I was horrified when Montecore bit Roy and I kept tabs on Roy’s rather miraculous recovery. It was touching how Siegfried was such an integral part of Roy’s healing and it was profoundly moving how […] The post Siegfried and Roy: Masters of ..read more

As with the the other Club of 27 members, it is hard to watch the past performances of Amy Winehouse. It is just too tragic such a vibrant star burnt herself out before she turned 30 years of age. This article explores her life on stage. Readers may wish to examine the chart of Janis Joplin who is also a member of the Club of 27. Amy Winehouse was born to a Jewish family in Southgate London on 14 September 1983 at 10:25 pm (Source: Frank Clifford quotes Winehouse’s mother to a mutual friend of astrologer Margaret Zelinski. A Nakshatra Story

Nakshatras. Not too long ago, Nakshatras were beyond my understanding. Or so I thought. . . When I was doing the FAS diploma, I forbade myself from taking any other astrology course until I finished the diploma. It nearly drove me crazy but since completing the course a couple of years ago, I’ve done a course on Hellenistic astrology and took Deb Houlding’s horary and electional courses. Still thirsty, I’ve been eyeing up Vedic astrology. Quick Commercial Break I hate to remind you but summer is almost finished and it’s almost time to get ready to go back to school! Great Balls of Fire

Happy birthday to Dennis Quaid (9 April) who portrayed Jerry Lee Lewis in “Great Balls of Fire”. Lewis controversially married his 13 year old first cousin which sent his career down the proverbial plughole, an event which was central to the film. Quaid’s natal Venus in Taurus was conjunct the singer’s Uranus within an orb of 2 degrees. Both men had Mars in Sagittarius. As tempting as it is, I’ll leave the cheap, lewd jokes to someone else. And if you’re looking for a good film, just check out Dennis Quaid in “Great Balls of Fire”. There are thousands of […] The post Great Balls of Fire appear ..read more
