We all parent differently which is probably because of how we were raised. Many of the South Asian friends I have are 1st generation Canadians and we can definitely relate to each other in terms of our parents – then again if you have watched Lily Singh, she can as well. Here’s the thing, we did get the occasional slap, distant shoe flying through the air that we would have to dodge but mostly it was swear words in Punjabi (yes, I’m serious!) – did it make us into horrible mothers…no! So the thing is that I’ve worked in the retail world, by that I mean in clothing sales which I assume many of us have, and clearly those who haven’t don’t really know why the X or vent stitch exists.
Why am I writing about this you may ask….well I think it is time to put it out there and let people know that the stitch that you see which keeps the flap of a new suit jacket, winter jacket, any jacket, is not there as part of the stitching. You are supposed to snip that so that you can actually have the flaps open. The ONLY reason it is there is so there are no creases while it is in trans ..read more

Topic – Trampoline Parks
As a parent, I must admit that there are a lot of fun places to take your kids, especially places that you can sit and they can play (well really you should always be like a hawk and keep an eye out).
Trampoline Parks seem to be under scrutiny lately for the ‘waivers’ that everyone has to sign before they can enter. [Take a look at the CBC Marketplace episode].
So the thing is no one reads these waivers but they all pretty much tell you….

This is my first blog ( I’ve been thinking of this for years!!) There is so much to share and learn when it comes to parenting…. so we (my husband and I) decided to share our parenting experiences thus far. We have two beautiful kids ( Boy – 6 yrs old, Girl – 4 yrs old….yes I know, I’m not trying to copy Bird Box!).
