Week in Review: Week 11 Paris Eternal: It’s official, it’s time to stop doubting Paris. We are not saying that Paris will win the grand finals, that’s a stretch, but for fantasy this team overall has probably outperformed their pre-season expectations the most. With a massive win over the Glads and a strong win over a stronger looking Spitfire, our doubts for this team are gone. Player to watch: Vestola- has been a great mid-season pick-up so far. We have yet to see a breakout performance but even playing up to par with the rest of the team is enough to score good fantasy points. Toronto Defi ..read more

It’s been another banger week in the world of League of Legends, and many players & teams have seen their stock increase and decrease. Who are some of the top names though? Let’s have a look! Buffed XL Markoon & XL Advienne Hard work pays off. After a poor start to the LEC Summer Split that has left Excel sitting in joint 7th with a poor 2-5 record, YoungBuck has decided to make a change. Markoon & Advienne, who play Jungle and Support for BTXL, the sister team to XL that resides in the ERLs, have been promoted to the main roster. This also means that Dan & Denyk will be going ..read more

After defeating Dallas Empire in a grueling nine-map Grand Finals, Atlanta FaZe was the first team to win back-to-back Majors in 2021. The team has now attended all four Majors in the season, and it’s hard to imagine them not being in the picture come to Stage V. Runners-up Dallas Empire was one map away from beating them though. With the arrival of Vivid, the 2020 World Champions started off wobbly with a third-place finish in the Group Stages. But they started their first LAN game emphatically, stomping OpTic Chicago 3-0 to progress to Round 2. The momentum continued all the way to the Grand ..read more

It’s been another banger week in the world of League of Legends- and with the LEC back in full swing now, having just seen its 2nd week finish, we’ve got even more to talk about than usual. Let’s have a look at who’s having a great week, and who would rather forget about it! Buffed SK Lilipp After an abysmal 0-5 start to the Summer Split for SK Gaming, they’ve decided to make another change- and this one might be good! SK Prime’s Support Lilipp is going to be starting for the org this week, after they decided it was best to put Jesiz back in his coaching role. Lilipp has been performing well ..read more

OWL Week In Review 9-16 June- The June Joust

Dallas Fuel: Fuel did not win the June Joust, but they did win fantasy. The grand finals were extremely close and we would still rank Fuel as the best fantasy team in OWL right now. Massive points and consistency across all roles are all you could ask for as a fantasy manager. One factor that we did not see in the June Joust is Pine, his introduction may cause some inconsistency in the DPS line and is the only cause for concern for fantasy with this team. Player to watch: Fearless- the second highest average fantasy points for any tank player and the highest for a main tank. Fearless is an am ..read more

The final week of CDL before the Major is always an entertaining one, as it features big matches which determine seeding for the preceding double-elimination tournament. It started with one of the biggest upsets of the season, as OpTic Chicago was defeated 3-2 by Seattle Surge. Surge, who struggled to find their groove with the recent addition Classic, put out all the stops to score this massive victory, including a win in Control, a game mode in which they were the worst in the league at. Despite this mishap, OpTic finished the week strong with a statement performance against LA Thieves.&nbs ..read more

The pro leagues are all fully underway now! With this week heralding the start of the LEC as well, we’re back to having a full schedule of League of Legends to enjoy every week. It’s been another interesting week in the world of LoL esports- let’s have a look at the winners and losers of the week. Buffed MSF Vetheo It’s been a fantastic start to Summer for Misfits- they currently sit with a 3-0 record and on top of the standings. This has been a team effort for definite, but it would be unfair to not give Vetheo a particular shout out. This is only the second split in the LEC for the French m ..read more

Florida Mayhem: Mayhem did not accomplish what they wanted to this week but it’s far from over. Overall, they looked less comfortable in this meta and we expect them to bounce back next stage. The Mayhem have solid pieces in every role and administrative position, they just need to break through the clutter of average teams. Player to watch: OGE- outperforming expectations for fantasy. Off-tanks in general are better options but OGE is recently on the up and a guaranteed starter. Boston Uprising: The Uprising were a front runner for the June Joust going into the week then barely squeaked by at ..read more

As New York Subliners grinded out two victories to claim the top spot in Group B, Atlanta FaZe did the same without breaking a sweat. It’s been a tough few weeks for Clayster and his teammates, as the out-of-game issues seemed to keep piling on. Hydra played the week through illness while Asim’s entry from Canada to the US for the upcoming LAN Major is in jeopardy. Despite that, the team picked up two huge victories including a 3-2 win versus Florida Mutineers, a team who have been improving every single game. FaZe continued to humiliate the rest of the competition in Group A, with a 4-0 recor ..read more

This week we saw the pro leagues start up again- first came LCS, then came the LPL and LCK, and the LEC joins the party on Friday! Let’s take a look at the teams having a great time this week, and the ones that had a week to forget. Buffed TSM After a somewhat disappointing end to the Spring season that saw TSM finish 3rd behind Team Liquid and eventual winners Cloud9, this week’s matches have shown there’s plenty of life in this team. Solid performances from everyone, but especially Lost and PowerOfEvil, saw TSM rocket ahead to a 3-0 start to the Summer Split, putting them in real contention ..read more
