Asda is launching digital spirits display screens in 23 of its Express stores.  The supermarket has teamed up with Diageo to place digital touchscreens on  shelves or displayed as separate units in alcohol aisles with integrated printers. Shoppers will be asked to prove their age before selecting their spirit. Once selected, the interactive screens will print a ticket to be processed at the checkout. The Co-op has introduced 200 secure till kiosks and artificial intelligence (AI) software to monitor self-checkouts.
