A trusted leaker has posted a bunch of screenshots showing off a Pixel 8a product page.
The screenshots confirm seven years of updates, as well as a host of Pixel 8 series features.
The Google Pixel 8a is expected to launch this month, but we’ve already seen a ton of leaks so far. However, a long-time leaker has just dropped perhaps the biggest info dump yet.

A Reddit user has scoured the camera bar on their Pixel phones, resulting in a brushed metal finish.
You shouldn’t try this at home, though, as there’s a risk of damaging the rear camera lenses.
Recent Google Pixel phones come with a distinctive rear camera housing, featuring a glossy metal finish. What if you prefer the brushed metal look? Well, a Reddit user has taken matters into their own hands, although we’d caution users against trying this at home.

Google is testing an update to the Pixel Launcher that enables Circle to Search to work in split-screen mode.
On Pixel devices currently, Circle to Search doesn’t work while in split-screen mode.
The feature lets you tap, scribble, or draw a circle over any text or image on the screen that you want to look up on Google Search.
I frequently search the web through Google Search each day, which is why I think Circle to Search is one of the best Android features Google has made in years. If you come across some text or image you want to look up, all you need to do is press and hold on the navi ..read more

Android 15 could introduce a new toggle to “show long app names” in the search results and apps list of Pixel Launcher.
The launcher currently truncates too-long app names to ensure that they don’t overlap in the list.
Some users don’t like seeing truncated app names, so this new feature will be good news for them.
Google Pixel phones ship with the company’s Pixel Launcher app as the default home screen provider. Because it’s both the default and the only option that integrates with Google’s universal search, it’s what most Pixel users end up using, even though there are a plethora of amaz ..read more

Google’s Pixel phones first appeared way back in 2016, and they’ve been an annual fixture ever since. These phones have gone from strength to strength, but they’ve always stood out as picks for the best camera phones, while offering exclusive software features and long-term commitments to updates.
It’s fair to say that some Pixels are just better than others. It’s just a fact that when you’ve got a long-running series of phones, you’re gonna get some fantastic entries and a few not-so-great offerings. So we thought it would be fun to rank the Pixel p ..read more

Google has shown off its camera testing facility in a CNET video.
The video shows a more practical approach to testing smartphone cameras.
Many smartphone brands have their own camera testing setups, allowing them to fine-tune their photo and video experience. We seldom get a close look at these facilities, though, but Google has now peeled the curtain back on its lab setup.
CNET was allowed to tour Google’s camera testing facility for its Pixel phones, and the tech giant opted for a more practical approach to its camera sets. The company showed off cafe and living room sets which were us ..read more
