While food and travel are the main focus of my blog, I cannot ignore my other passion-fashion. Fashion plays a big part in everyone’s life, whether they realize it or not. We all have to wear clothing when we go out, and we all want to look good wherever we are going. When I began to take stock of my wardrobe, I realized I had to seriously look at what I was going to get rid of, and what new clothing I was going to replace them with. It was important for me to look professional, and give people the right impression, while remaining true to who I am as a person on the inside. I believe that clo ..read more

I have been to Thainamite many times in the past, and have always been impressed with the food and service that I have received every time. We wanted to go out to celebrate Valentine’s Day together at a nice Thai restaurant. I was expecting it to be busy because it was Valentine's Day, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not as busy as I thought that it would be. We were first brought the Tom Kha soup. The soup consists of cabbage, and mushroom in a coconut soup base flavored with galangal and lime. You have the option to add chicken, shrimp, tofu or veggies. The word “Tom” means ..read more

I have fallen in love with Milwaukee all over again. Milwaukee continues to surprise me and giving me new reasons to love this city even more. Every time that I go exploring downtown Milwaukee, I find more and more reasons to love this city. I decided to take a walk down the Milwaukee River Walk and see what I could find while enjoying the beautiful weather outside. I agree that the Milwaukee River Walk has some great scenery and fantastic restaurants as well. However, what caught my eye was the sculptures and other art work along the River Walk brought to you by RiverSculpture. When some peop ..read more

Milwaukee Night and Day: Local Milwaukee Art Film

I was recently made aware of a free sidewalk viewing of a film called Night and Day by local filmmaker Dick Blau and edited by Yinan Wang. The film can be viewed at the Suburban at 723 S. 5th Street in Milwaukee. Viewing times are sunset to sunrise until January 20. Milwaukee Night and Day is a film that Blau has spun out of the 1,000 pictures he’s made on the block where he lives in the very center of Milwaukee — at the intersection of Plankinton and Wisconsin Avenues— over the last ten years. It is the newest version of what he calls his “730 Project,” named after the building where he ..read more

Hello everyone. Today we went back to one of our favorite restaurants, the MKE Ale House in downtown Milwaukee. This is our second visit here, and I was again impressed with the food and service. On our first trip, we sat outside on the patio and had an excellent view of the Milwaukee River. However, this time due to the cold weather we decided to stay inside. The Milwaukee Ale House was founded by local brewers on October 17, 1997. They offer indoor and outdoors seating with a great view of the Milwaukee River. Once the COVID-19 Restrictions have been lifted, they will have live music. They a ..read more

Hello everyone. Today we went back to one of our favorite restaurants the MKE Ale House in downtown Milwaukee. This is our second visit here, and I was again impressed with the food and service. On our first trip, we sat outside on the patio and had an excellent view of the Milwaukee River. However, this time due to the cold weather we decided to stay inside. For starters, we ordered the garlic Parmesan wing with ranch sauce. My spouse got the Wisco burger medium well, and I chose the California burger medium-rare. We both had sides of sweet potato fries. I had my usual Bloody Mary, and he had ..read more
