I loved the idea – but don’t have the acreage necessary to do something like that! Because after 30 years of sending my husband out the door at 7:00 am to his teaching job it’s a bit of an inter ..read more

I haven’t had to worry about opening my high school locker for more years than I’d care to remember – well almost 40 to be exact – and yet those 3 years of high school, which honestly feel like yesterday to me, still influence my dreams. Declarations We have all heard that “Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me.”  This is not true. The words we say impact what chemicals get released in the brain. The ones that hurt or help us the most are the ones we say about and to ourselves.  Most of these conversations happen without us even realizing it. When I started to watch my words one thing I noticed was to “watch my gut”  By watching my gut I learned to monitor my words, to recognize WHEN I was telling myself things that would hurt me.  You too can use this as a thermometer of sorts.  When suddenly your ..read more

Tying Emotion to Vision
Those Crazy Grandmas

Use emotion.  Emotion changes everything when it comes to getting those things that you want from life.  We all know that person that is so intent on what they want, and so pumped to get it you just know there is no way they will fail.  Now you can too- Imagina ..read more
