We’ve all seen them out and about, dogs that are hanging on every word their owner says as they trot obediently beside them as they walk. Or the dog that sits patiently outside the shop whilst their owner is inside buying some cider, sometimes not even on a leash! It has been exciting Bank Holiday weekend here at Tommyno.     A few months ago myself and Emma were discussing what to get James for his birthday. I can’t quite remember how the conversation went but quite out of the blue we decided we would get him pet budgie. A budgie is easy to look after, feed it, call it ‘pretty boy’, teach it the odd swear word – piece of cake. He would look after it and gain a sense of responsibility that comes from having your own pet. Dogs and kids – the perfect ingredient for any family right? Some families just go with the kids and maybe pad it out a bit with the odd goldfish or gerbil. Others don’t bother with the kids and just have a few dogs and a social life. The bold and the brave will go ‘full family’ and go with both kids and dogs. There are lots of exciting things happening at Tommyno over the next couple of weeks. Baxter’s Page should be up and running this weekend and there are lots of mundane I need to do in the background to make this site awesome. Somebody once asked me who I would save if my wife Emma and Tommy were hanging off the edge of a cliff.
