If you’re like me, you’ve been amassing sweatpants and loungewear like crazy since the start of the pandemic. We all love our comfy clothes, but I don’t think we always see them as stylish. Could we though? Let me introduce you to my friends the pull on pants—POPs for short (as in POP them on and go). Below are 3 ways to style them that are perfect for working from home in comfort or for going out in style. 1. GO MONO The POPs I’m going to be styling are this beautiful, rich ochre color—or are they gold? Khaki? Olive? Chartreuse? Whatever you call this color, it’s very popular and I’m always ..read more

I’ve been thinking a lot about plus size representation in fashion lately. Basically, there’s a lack of it for no good reason. There are so many stylish fat babes putting out killer content on Instagram, their blogs and even TikTok (BTW, you can follow me all those places!) One place that many of us go for style inspo is good old Pinterest. It’s a powerful search engine that I really haven’t been using to it’s full potential. So, I recently performed 2 style searches and then made them fat. Because yes, they only turned up thin results. If I can get style inspo from thin people — they can get ..read more

I recently purchased a skirt that solved all my problems. My wardrobe problems, that is. I had some tops I’d been wanting to style with something other than jeans and none of my other skirts were quite right. Enter the jersey slip skirt of my dreams. See what I mean? I’ve been wracking my brain on how to style this cool drama shoulder tee (complete with shoulder pads) for a while. Jeans just felt too obvious. I love it tucked into this black skirt and paired with some snakeskin boots. It’s chic and edgy. The dramatic shoulders on this top made me think of a jacket I own with the coolest puff ..read more

It’s August and that means visions of fall are starting to dance in my head. Don’t worry — I’m not going to jump the gun and sweat through the next few months. I’ve got a transition plan. Swing dresses! They are cute, flowy and perfect for in between weather. This retro floral print swing dress is giving me Marsha Brady vibes. Can‘t you see it worn as a top with a pair of bellbottom jeans when the weather gets cooler? Hello, flower child. I love short flowy dresses with long sleeves because they can be worn with bare legs on warm days and with tights, leggings or even jeans when the weather ..read more

Where to Shop for Plus Size Band Tees

I grew up in the 80s and 90s and there were so many cool, tough girls on TV and in movies who had style I wanted to emulate. The only problem? The clothes they wore didn’t come in my size. But they do now! There is no quicker route to ”cool girl” than a leopard print skirt + a band tee. Throw on a red lip and POOF. This look plays off the tough girl trope and says anything men can do, I can do better. Especially rock band tees. The mix of masculine and feminine style is key to the whole vibe. My favorite places to buy plus size band tees: Torrid Target H&M ASOS Those are the shops I have ..read more

The Case for Getting Dressed

So things are weird and getting dressed is the least of our worries right now. We still need to do it though, right? So maybe we're not getting dressed, dressed — but we are still putting on clothes. Comfy clothes. Clothes that keep us warm, clothes that keep us cool — seasons are still a thing. First things first, I have 100% been living in leggings and sweatshirts. Maybe I've thrown on the occasional sweater for a Zoom call, but really I've fully embraced the quarantine casual lifestyle. Summer is coming though, and I know exactly what I plan to wear for the entirety of it. T-shirt dresses ..read more
