PUBG’s latest update has introduced an original new twist. PUBG continues to spice up its classic battle royale formula. The latest of these tweaks arrives as part of update 13.1, which is live now on the game’s test server on PC. 13.1 goes live August 4 for everyone else on PC, and August 12 on consoles. This is the game’s first 8x8km map in years, and it will arrive July 7 on PC, and July 15 on consoles. Some hot air can save your ass in the battle royale hit. You can now quickly move to PUBG‘s safe zone using balloons. In an update on the game’s website, developer PUBG Studio revealed the new Emergency Pickup item, which sees players hoisted up into the air by a balloon that is then hooked onto a plane passing overhead. This is one way of quickly reaching the circle, or can be a means of escaping a spicy situation. There’s a lot of risk to using the Emergency Pickup, though.
