We spent a few weeks plotting the course of the old river through the Marishes, we used old photos maps and google earth, it is amazing what you can see through google earth. Doncaster & District AA Doncaster & District have some great water on the river Don. The club has a proud history going back to 1911. Doncasters website points to the fact that local anglers used to travel to the Trent and North Yorkshire for their fishing. But now the river Don is set to become the most prolific river in Yorkshire.
