This month Island Batik teamed up with Funky Friends Factory to challenge the Island Batik Ambassadors. We were allowed to choose a pattern for the softie and I chose Crocodile Steve. This has been both fun and challenging. Challenging because there are a lot of curved pieces in this pattern and fun because it brought back happy times of my son growing up while stitching. One evening after I sewed some of these blocks together I decided to go ahead and cut my backing and load it on the frame. The area under the open staircase was the catch all for odds and ends. and I finally tackled it Friday. My sewing loft on the other hand is about to be moved around again. Island Batik Challenge It’s that time again, the first Island Batik blog hop of the year with a lot of beautiful new fabric collections and Ambassador designs to go with them. The fabric I received is Woodstock by Kathy Engle for Canton Village Quilt Works. It is so bright and cheerful, and all the green fabric was screaming flowers flower flowers.
